Inspiration Bedroom: Personalized Side Table

Hello lovelies! I started working on crafts for my ceiling details today and they are really coming together great!  Be sure to check out my past two Inspiration Bedroom posts on Heartfelt Headboards and Lovely Lighting.

Today I wanted to post some of my favorite ideas for furniture in the room, I especially love ideas that I can make out of other things.

{ DIY Suitcase Nightstand }

I love this idea of a suitcase mounted on a stool and used as a side table or night stand. It would be so simple and fun to create! I would just screw the bottom of the suitcase into the stool legs and voila!

The source for this photo is from Pinterest and was pinned by user Helen Lieb.

This is another fabulous suitcase nightstand idea that I love. It leaves the suitcases with their original look of travel and use. This idea is from Country Living.

Harlem Apartment - Bedroom eclectic bedroom

This is the same essential idea as the first side table, but I love the blue suitcase and the little lamp. It is a gorgeous interior and you can see the rest of this house featured at Houzz.

 I love the stack with a chest on the top from Bandana Mom. This is a lovely color palette and I would love to have a room that looked like this!

School starts tomorrow! I am looking forward to a new semester!

Happy Monday!

  1. I like old suitcases, too. You should check out the thrift stores here in town. Another blog friend of mine who used to live in FoCo found some great ones. Here's her blog. http://bit.ly/zhAaJf

    Have fun with all your redecorating! Good luck this semester! :)

  2. I can pick up some cute old suitcases. What happened to those ones that were in Autumn's room?

    1. I don't know what happened to that old trunk in autumns room, she probably still has it... but it would be too big for our room or too small as a table standing on its side. I definitely already thought about those trunks we had when we were younger.
